Mourilyan Harbour is a great location for recreational fishing area with mangroves lining up the banks of creeks and channels of the Moresby River. The 2-lane concrete boat ramp is usually busy with fishermen launching their boats into the water.  

There are toilets, bins and water available and even a hot shower. Due to the influx of boaters, parking areas are usually prioritised for fishermen’s cars and trailers. Caravans and campervans are not allowed to park here.

Crocodiles are reported to inhabit the area; visitors are advised to be cautious at all times, especially when they are in the water.
