The North Point car park and boat ramp were
upgraded in 2022, raising the car park level by approximately 20 cm and
replacing the previously damaged timber jetty with a modular steel jetty.
The concrete boat ramp accommodates three
trailers simultaneously. It may be shallow at low tide, but a small pier
extends out a fair distance, making it a good spot for catching flathead fish.
The area offers a beautiful view of the city at night, and toilets are
available nearby. There’s also a table provided for cleaning fish after a
successful day on the water, along with great views back to the city and out to
sea. A short pier allows for walk-on access to boats after launching.
If you're not planning to go boating, you
can cycle or walk around the area. On busy days, it's advisable to arrive early
since parking is limited. Additionally, it's a fantastic location for enjoying
both sunrise and sunset views.
