This concrete 3-lane
ramp is located at the end of Caper Pallarenda Road, just before the entrance
to the National Park.
The ramp is in a great
spot for easy access to Cape Pallarenda, West Point, Middle Reef, and Cockle
Bay. It's mostly meant for small boats and 4WD vehicles. The ramp is solid and
made of concrete, leading right down to the beach. However, it doesn’t have any
break-walls or protection from the open ocean, which usually means there's a
thick layer of soft sand at the top. Because of that, you'll really need a 4WD
to get your boat and trailer in and out without trouble. Plus, the ramp has a
pretty shallow angle.
One downside is that
there are no convenient amenities available at the boat ramp.
