Located near Ballan, Pykes Creek Reservoir is an ideal location for boating and swimming. It is a popular destination for outdoor activities since the Reservoir is free for everyone to use and lets you do activities such as picnics, swimming, boating, jet skiing, fishing, birdwatching, and walking.

The double-lane concrete ramp allows trailerable boats, kayaks, canoes, and jet skis to be launched and retrieved here. Boating restrictions may apply when the water levels are low. There are a total of 50 car parking spots where you can park your vehicle and your boat trailer.

 Facilities in the Reservoir include BBQ areas, toilets, picnic tables, toilets, and a playground. Activities such as camping, fires, riding motorbikes near the shoreline, archery, shooting, horse riding, and paraflying are prohibited. If you’re bringing along your pet dogs, they should be on a leash at all times.

The Reservoir facilities are open from 8 am to 8 pm daily.
