The Corio bay ramp
is located in Swinburne St, Corio Bay. This is a two-lane concrete ramp with floating
pontoons giving easy access for the family to get on and off or just for
loading up the boat. The only problem with this ramp is the shallow entry of
the ramps themselves during low tides.
This spot is popular
among fishermen as it is a good spot to catch fish species such as snappers,
flathead, and whiting. For fishermen who don’t have vessels, there is a
platform for them to fish along the shore.
Near the Boat ramp is
St. Helen’s Park which is a community park that overlooks Corio Bay. It’s a
great place to swim, play, barbecue, enjoy the view, and picnic. There is also a short walking path that tracks the edge of the
shoreline. There is extensive car
and boat-trailer parking nearby. The Park has picnic tables, barbecues and
toilets.
